...is such an interesting negotiation to capture through a lens.
I was looking through some dear friends photography blogs
and loving the studio spaces they've created right in their homes.
We live in an apartment that is less than 500 square feet.
It's exactly what we need right now,
and I can't even begin to tell you how much we love it.
But there's not a lot of room for photography, and not nearly enough natural light.

But there's not a lot of room for photography, and not nearly enough natural light.
However, I think may have discovered a spot (about 2 square feet... seriously it's small!)
that receives enough light to count as a mini studio.
Sometimes I think I feel like I'm in the dark,
when I'm actually sitting in a small patch of perfect light.
There's only space for shots that are cropped quite close, and the light doesn't travel to the wall behind, which makes the background a soft gloomy sort of gray. My favorite.
It was just an experiment, and there was quite a lot of trial and error.
And I have to say, most of the images didn't turn out too well.
The next time were in town, Id be happy to let you borrow my baby. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure lovely is the word for me, as much as wiling. I also have a handsome babe. :) My phone broke, so message me on FB if that meets your criteria. :)
ReplyDeleteYou can borrow me! Fall break is all of next week. I'd love to play. Maybe you can shake out my awkwardness.
ReplyDeleteUgh! Why are we not closer? !!
